Dalton says he grew up thinking his biological sister, Ava, was his younger cousin. Dalton was adopted by an uncle and claims that prior to that, his and Ava’s biological parents, Karen and Frankie, tried to sell him to another couple for $3,000.

“You can buy a cheap car for $3,000 that will break down in a couple of months,” says Dalton. Karen’s pregnancy with, and his biological parents' alleged attempt to “sell” him was the premise of the 1994 Lifetime movie, “Baby Brokers.”

Frankie categorically denies participating in an attempt to “sell” Dalton or any of his children. He claims he didn’t know what Karen was doing and that her lawyers told him he had no parental rights.

Dalton was the last of Karen and Frankie’s babies to be adopted prior to Karen’s arrest just days after Ava was born. “I feel like I got cheated out of a family – out of a life,” he says.

Dalton meets his oldest sister, Sandy, for the very first time on the Dr. Phil stage in the conclusion of this two-part episode airing Tuesday.
