Annie, a mother of three, says she’s certain Michael Jackson’s hit son “Smooth Criminal” was written about her. The former model says she was in a physically abusive relationship at the time the song was written and says it describes what was happening in her life.
Annie says the King of Pop even mentions her name 46 times in the song because he wanted her to know he was aware of the abuse and wanted to know if she was OK. She now wants the rights to the song and believes Michael would have wanted her to have the money. Watch her story here. TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Have a story Dr. Phil won’t believe?
However, Annie’s daughter, Akeeya, says claims her mother is delusional
and there’s no way the song was written about her.
So who is “Annie” in the hit song? Michael Jackson’s former sound/audio engineer, Matt Forger, who worked on the pop star’s record-breaking Album Bad, which includes “Smooth Criminal,” reveals who the real “Annie” is in the video above.
