Janice says her 16-year-old daughter, Darbi, has been diagnosed with several mental health issues and claims the teenager acts out with “severe” and “bizarre” sexual behavior. She says since Darbi first ran away from home at age 15, only to end up a victim of sex trafficking, she’s done everything she can to keep her daughter safe - and “in line.”

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Is your family a stressed mess?

“I’ve tried all forms of discipline with Darbi, I take her cell phone, I’ve taken her door off, taken all of the items out of her room except for one outfit,” says Janice. “I’ve also had her do a ‘Janice boot camp.’”

Now Darbi is missing again, and her family says they haven’t heard from her in nearly a month.

“She didn’t take any of her belongings with her when she left,” says Janice. What disturbing item does Janice say she found in Darbi’s room?

And what does Dr. Phil say about how Darbi’s (previously diagnosed) mental health issues may be informing her behaviors and affecting her self-worth?
