Before appearing on Dr. Phil in September 2016, Barbara Ann had written multiple times asking for help with her 13-year-old daughter, Danielle, who she said was “out of control.”

Barbara Ann claimed Danielle had transformed from a sweet child, into a lying, stealing, provocative and disrespectful teenager who physically attacked her, and was a serial runaway.

“She’s not afraid of the police. She’s not afraid of anyone. I really don’t know what she’s capable of, and that’s the scary part,” said Barbara Ann at the time.

Danielle accused her mom of being overbearing and controlling, saying she just wants to live her life and wanted Barbara Ann to “back off.”

Viewers took note of Danielle when she and Barbara Ann first appeared on Dr. Phil. The teenager, who coined the now popular catchphrase - “cash me ousside, howbow dah”- while on the show, garnered a huge following across a number of social media platforms. In the months since then, the young internet sensation has received massive attention - both positive and negative.

Following Dr. Phil’s recommendation, Danielle was accepted at Turn-About Ranch, a school and residential program for troubled teens, where she spent four-and-a-half intensive months learning accountability, responsibility, and teamwork.
