Maryann says after her son, Jerry, was in a car accident and suffering from constant pain, he reached out to his lifelong friend, neurosurgeon Dr. Christopher Duntsch, to perform neck surgery.

“When the surgery was over, Chris said that he had sent Jerry to the ICU, and I was alarmed,” says Maryann. “He informed me, ‘I’m the chief surgeon here. I can do whatever I want.’”

Maryann claims her son informed her that Chris – whom she considered a second son – had done an “8 ball” of cocaine before he performed surgery on Jerry. Jerry was left a quadriplegic.

“I hired an attorney to make sure that Chris was not allowed to be around him. I demanded that Chris be given a drug test. I sent a letter to the medical board,” Maryann says. “I have never spoken to Chris again.”

Maryann describes how Jerry recently died – as a result of his injuries -- in the video above. And, hear why she says she doesn’t blame Chris for what happened.
