Jen and Bill, say the behaviors of their teenage daughters, Emma and Meredith, are “out of control.”

Jen claims that when they attempt to ground their girls as punishment for breaking the rules, the teenagers will leave the house whenever they decide they’ve had enough.

She also says that Emma is “only motivated by rewards.”

“You know, we use ‘enabled’ so much that it kind of loses its meaning,” Dr. Phil tells Jen and Bill in part two of this two-part episode airing Thursday. He continues, “Really what it means, is to make something possible, practical or easy for someone to do or be; and it often perpetuates a problem.”

“I’m an enabler … I am,” admits Jen. What does she say she’d planned to offer Emma to persuade her to participate in taping Dr. Phil?
