‘My Four Walls Have Become Their Four Walls,’ Admits Woman With Agoraphobia Of Raising Her Kids
Kirstie says her agoraphobia is so bad that she stays in her room 22 hours a day, and feels like she might die if she leaves for more than a few minutes.

She also says that because of her extreme anxiety, she can’t be the mother her three children need her to be.

“It’s really stressful because I can’t take my children anywhere. Not to go to the doctor’s, to the park, to visit friends – nothing,” she says.
The most she can do, claims Kirstie, is to play outside with her kids in the back yard, at night.
“My four walls have become their four walls,” she continues, adding, “that’s realistically all they see.”
Kirstie says she also has a 4-year-old daughter with health issues who she says she hasn’t seen since her second birthday.
