Amy says she places much of the blame for her younger sister, Kaitlin’s, drug addiction on their mom, Joelle. She claims she enables Kaitlin by providing her with money, cars and hotel rooms, and even helped her buy drugs on the streets of Los Angeles the day before they met with Dr. Phil.

“My mom is a big reason why my sister is a pregnant addict,” Joelle says. “Every time my sister wrecks a car, my mom buys her a new one.”
Kaitlin, a former high school cheerleader, is currently six months pregnant with her third child and says she’s doing heroin at least five times a day. She is homeless, has lived in motels and has lost custody of her two children, who are being raised by Joelle since she learned they were living in a hotel room filled with cigarettes, trash and drug paraphernalia.
