Jeff and his three kids moved in with his mother, Janet, 16 years ago, following a difficult divorce and the loss of his career as an aircraft mechanic.

Since then, Jeff’s sister, Monica, claims that he has only worked entry-level jobs, plays video games and smokes marijuana while their 65-year-old mother works to support him and his kids.

Janet admits she enables Jeff, but his daughter, Tori, says she’s tired of her dad “mooching” off her grandmother.
“I want to change my life. I don’t want to be where I’m at right now,” says Jeff. He claims he’s “willing to go to any lengths” to change his life.
Dr. Phil introduces Jeff to “Coach Mike” Bayer, a life development coach, CEO of CAST Centers, and author of the book “Best Self: Be You, Only Better.”
“You say you’re willing to go to any lengths, right? So sometimes we have to make a huge, drastic change in our lives,” he tells Jeff.
