“Brandon loves to wear superhero costumes. He’ll be out in the backyard running around with lightsabers and swords. And he’ll be jumping off the decking, and chairs and tables,” Cindy says. “It’s, like, so weird!”

Jim recalls an incident a few weeks ago when he heard a noise in the house and thought it was a prowler, but it was Brandon hiding and waiting to jump out and scare him. “I notice a body flying off this ledge, down on to the floor like a ninja,” Jim says. “I go to confront him and choke him, and I hear, ‘Dad, it’s me. It’s Brandon.’ And I said, ‘Brandon, what are you doing?’ And he said, ‘I’m just down here hiding.’”

The couple also says that Brandon is “lazy” and “refuses to get a job.” They say he lives in their home and has “destroyed” it, causing $15,000 in damage.

“Brandon has spray painted everything from the toilet seat to the light switches,” Cindy says, adding that he leaves half-eaten food around the house and never cleans up after himself.

Jim adds, “Brandon has ruined our backyard, he’s trashed several cars and he’s put holes in our walls.”

Cindy and Jim, who say they’ve kicked Brandon out of their house numerous times, say living with him has become absolutely unbearable and they are at their wits’ end.

“Now I feel like I don’t love him anymore. I absolutely can’t stand him, and I hate him,” says Cindy, turning to Dr. Phil for help.

On Thursday’s episode, hear from Brandon. Why does he say his parents don’t understand him? And, is he ready to change? Check here to see where you can watch.
