Dr. John Whyte, a physician, author, and Chief Medical Officer at WebMD, says stress is one of many factors that, if left unchecked, can lead to hearing three words no one wants to hear: “You have cancer.”

“Cancer is a disease of inflammation, and daily, constant stress causes inflammation. So we really have to take control of our stress if we want to take control of our cancer risk,” he says.

Dr. Whyte says there are simple changes we can all make to reduce our chances of getting and succumbing to cancer, which he outlines in his new book, “Take Control Of Your Cancer Risk.”
