“My sister, Kaitlin, is a drug addict and a junkie,” says Amy of her younger sister.
Kaitlin is 28 years old, pregnant with her third child and says she’s injecting heroin at least five times a day.
“I have never overdosed, but I have woken up with a needle in my arm before,” Kaitlin shares. The young mom has lost custody of her children and is currently living on the streets.

Kaitlin’s mother, Joelle, who says her daughter is living dangerously, says she took Kaitlin to the hospital recently in an effort to get her clean.
“I took her in with a needle in her thumb. It had to be surgically removed because she injected and broke the needle off,” Joelle recalls, adding that her daughter grew combative when she started detoxing. “She threw a phone, she threw pudding, she ran around the hospital naked, yelled and screamed at the doctors.”

Amy claims that Kaitlin detoxed at the hospital but was kicked out and then returned to the streets and started using again.
“It scares me to death that she is six months pregnant and still doing drugs,” Amy says, turning to Dr. Phil for help. “If Kaitlin does not kill herself with drugs, she will get killed on the streets.”
