Kaitlin, a mother of two, says she has been using heroin for the last six years. The 28-year-old is homeless, jobless and six months pregnant. She lost custody of her 2-and 4-year-old daughters when CPS found them alone in a hotel room filled with trash, cigarettes and drug paraphernalia.

After telling Kaitlin he’s concerned for the welfare of her unborn child, he offers her a chance to enter treatment. Kaitlin tells him she wants to get sober but on her own terms.
Pleading with Kaitlin to accept the offer, her mother declares she will no longer support her daughter if she doesn’t get help. Finally, Kaitlin agrees to enter treatment.
