Teens everywhere are getting hooked on vaping, and parents are at a loss about how to combat the crisis. Renowned psychiatrist Dr. Charles Sophy has helped many families with this problem and has written about it in his best-selling book, “Family Values: Reset Trust, Boundaries, and Connection with Your Child.”

“It’s a huge deal, and it’s happening right under parents’ noses,” says Dr. Sophy. “They don’t smell it; they don’t see it. They don’t even see it sometimes until their (child’s) schoolwork is falling apart, or they’re isolated, or their kids are totally different people.”

Vanessa and David say their 12-year-old son, Connor, is addicted to vaping and that he lies and steals to get ahold of vaping products. Watch the video above to hear what Dr. Sophy suggests the couple can do to help their son break his dependency on vaping.
