The couple claims after they sought out marriage counseling, church elders reported Robert to CPS
based on a misunderstanding. They claim CPS removed both their children from the home.
On Monday’s episode, Dr. Phil introduces the couple to Steve Guziec; a professor of Psychology and therapist with Freedom of Mind Resource Center.
He specializes in helping people who have chosen to separate from strict religious groups.
“Spending 25 years born and raised as a Jehovah’s Witness, and then coming out of the group, I understand what Robert and Tatiana are going through right now —and the idea and the concepts that are running through their heads,” he says.
