Rapper and songwriter Brooklyn Queen says she “blew up” when her first song was released when she was 12 years old. The now 17-year-old says she was not expecting to become a viral sensation or to experience the attention – both negative and positive – that came with it.

Brooklyn Queen says that four years ago, a complete stranger began contacting her and claimed to be her birth mother. “I started seeing messages from this woman saying, ‘I’m going to come get you.’ She was posting pictures and collages of us together, saying, ‘Miss you, Baby Girl. Mommy loves you,’” Brooklyn Queen says. “First, I tried to ignore it and just brush it off, but this woman hasn’t stopped, and things are getting so much worse.”

In the video above from Wednesday’s episode of Dr. Phil, "'A Woman I’ve Never Met is Convinced She’s My Mother'," Brooklyn Queen, her mother, Kimberly, and her father, Duke, share more of their story and how they say this is affecting their lives.

On Wednesday, hear what happened when Brooklyn Queen went on Instagram Live and confronted the woman who’s claiming to be her biological mother. And, Kimberly and Brooklyn Queen asked to take a DNA test in hopes that it would finally convince this woman that Kimberly is in fact Brooklyn Queen’s mother. What do the results reveal?
