Breaking News Update: Texas Court of Criminal Appeals has now stopped Rodney Reed’s execution indefinitely. The case is being sent back to the trial court. There will now be a chance to present all of the evidence to a fair judge. Rodney Reed can finally prove his innocence. Thank you all for your support!

Great news, everyone! The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles just unanimously recommended a 120-day reprieve for Rodney Reed, who is scheduled for execution this upcoming Wednesday, November 20.

Governor Greg Abbott now must, as anticipated, accept that recommendation. If so, this is wonderful news, and in no small part due to all of your great work. We are not finished until full clemency is granted, and Rodney Reed can go home a free man. Let’s not let up one bit.
