Jemma says her daughters use her as a scapegoat for their own issues. She says that her oldest daughter, Ceanne, is an alcoholic and that she and her younger sister Rashelle blame her alcoholism on Jemma.

“Rashelle and Ceanne, if they put it on me, they don’t have to do anything,” Jemma says. “Ceanne’s an adult now and she needs to take responsibility for her problems. The problem is not me.”

Ceanne and Rashelle claim Jemma has mentally and physically abused them for the last 20 years. However, when confronted, Jemma says she can’t remember being abusive. Jemma says she has never abused her children.
