Lauren Dumolo of Cape Coral, Florida, has been missing since June 19, 2020. Her father, Paul, and sister, Cassie, say that Lauren, who had been in recovery from substance abuse for two years at the time she vanished, would never leave of her own free will.

Reportedly, on the morning of Lauren’s disappearance, a local maintenance man claimed to have seen her walking from the direction of Four Freedoms Park, where she frequently visited, toward her apartment, about two blocks away. Lauren’s shirt, purse, and shoes were later found at the park.

The next evening, says Cassie, scent dogs led police from the park directly across the street to an apartment where their deceased mother had previously lived.

“A lot of red flags started being raised,” says Cassie. “A lot of coincidences surrounding Lauren’s disappearance.”

Watch the video above to hear Lauren’s family explain why she was involuntarily committed to a mental health facility just weeks before she went missing. Tune in to Tuesday’s Dr. Phil, "Missing Mom: Where is Lauren Dumolo?"to find out what Paul and Cassie say they believe happened to Lauren.
