Student-Athlete With Social Media Aspirations – Did He Stay In School Or Quit College To Pursue His Dream?
In 2021, Patriece and Eric asked Dr. Phil for help with their son, Erin, a 19-year-old student-athlete with good grades who was ready to give up his track scholarship and drop out of college to pursue his dream of becoming a social media influencer. Erin said he expected his parents to financially support him because he refused to get a “regular” job. Dr. Phil advised Erin’s parents not to cave to his demands, because they’d be destroying his chances at future success.
What happened to Erin’s dream?
Tune into Friday’s episode, “Dr. Phil Changed My Life,” to find out what Erin is doing today to help other young athletes. Check your local listing for airtimes.
