TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Betrayed by a loved one?

“He said we were born naked and everything we did was perfectly natural; that mom wasn’t understanding, and she wouldn’t approve.”

In part one of a two-part Dr. Phil airing Tuesday, Kim says her father, Bob, told her that if she ever told on him, he’d go to jail.

“But I still loved him. He is my dad, and I didn’t want anything bad to happen to him.”

Continuing she says, “I was trained so well, I never even thought of telling anyone. Children should never have to keep the kinds of secrets that I was forced to keep. My innocence was taken away from me.”

Now an adult, Kim says that when she was 14, she told her mother about the abuse. Bob served four years in prison for sexual assault.

Bob doesn’t deny having sexual contact with his daughter when she was a child. Why does he claim that Kim was a willing participant?
