Teacher Claims There’s No Way Kiera Newsome Committed Murder; She Was In Class All Day
Kiera Newsome spent nearly 20 years in prison after she was convicted of murder. But, she insists she never killed anyone – and claims that she took the fall for a crime with alleged gang ties. Kiera says she was in high school class the day of the killing – and she can prove it.
“She was marked present on the day of the murder,” says Kiera’s former teacher, Rebecca, who says she did headcounts of the students hourly. “She was still in my classroom the whole day.”
Kiera says she is now fighting to be exonerated for a crime she claims she didn’t commit. On Friday’s episode of Dr. Phil, "19 Years Lost: I Am Innocent," hear from a key prosecution witness who Kiera says has changed his story. Check local listings to see where you can watch.
