Alaskan teen Denali Brehmer is charged with murder in connection with the death of 19-year-old Cynthia Hoffman. Cynthia was allegedly lured into the Alaskan wilderness under the guise of playing a game, duct-taped, shot in the head and then pushed into a river. Brehmer allegedly concocted the plot to get $9 million from a man she had met online.

According to Timothy Hoffman, Cynthia’s father, Cynthia had told him that Denali was her best friend. So when Cynthia didn’t keep in touch with him the day she was killed, Timothy reached out to Brehmer looking for his daughter. He says at first, she acted like a worried friend – but he claims he soon realized she was lying to him.
