Teen Says Running Away From Home Gives Her ‘An Adrenaline Rush’
Kyrah says she started running away from home at age 10, and at 15, she has run away nine times so far.
“It gives me an adrenaline rush,” she says, adding, “it’s like a replacement for drugs.”

Her mother, Amethyst, and stepfather, Dustin, say they’ve put up security cameras and sensors, read books, taken parenting classes, made contracts with their daughter and once, took her phone away for a year, but Kyrah just keeps running away.
“I love my parents, and I still want to fix our relationship,” says the teen. “I just don’t want to live with them.”
