Cherylyn says if her mom, Joey, or boyfriend, Tyler, ever stopped giving her money - she’d probably end up depressed and homeless. The jobless 19-year-old says she’s around $25,000 in debt, and admits, she doesn’t pay her bills.

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Does a Friend or Family Member Owe You Money?

Rosie Mercado, Special Correspondent for The Doctors, accompanies Cherylyn to Las Vegas for a “girls’ night out" that turns out to be less glamorous than the teenager expected. Cherylyn had a taste of what it would be like to be homeless when the pair spent the night on the streets of Vegas, but Rosie reports the evening may not have left the impression on Cherylyn it was intended to.

“She’s sitting on the streets on her phone looking at Louis Vuitton bags, transferring money from PayPal and I’m looking at her and I’m like, ‘Cherylyn, you do not understand what we’re doing out here. You don’t get it.’”

With Rosie’s report, Dr. Phil turns his attention to what he says Joey and Tyler must do, to turn the situation with Cherylyn around. “I’ll tell you what. At an absolute drop-dead minimum, the stuff that you have purchased, the two of you should take that stuff and absolutely liquidate it before the end of the week.”

When he tells them to “wipe the slate clean” and put the proceeds towards Cherylyn’s outstanding debts, What is Joey’s response? Tune in to Wednesday’s Dr. Phil.
