Terrill Swift Was 17 When He Claims Police Lied To Him And Coerced Him Into A False Confession
When Terrill Swift was 17, he claims Chicago police officers lied to him during an interrogation and accused him and three other young men of raping and murdering a 30-year-old prostitute. Swift, who was in high school and had never been in trouble, says he was questioned by police for over 12 hours.
“I was crying, but no one listened,” says Swift, adding that he asked for his mother and a lawyer but didn’t receive either.
On Monday’s episode of Dr. Phil, “Underage and Interrogated,” hear how Swift was finally released from prison. Plus, Dr. Phil shares a powerful message and reminds Americans what their duties are in society. Check local listings to see where you can watch.
