Denise says her marriage to David is on the rocks, and since the pandemic, things have only gotten worse. She claims that David controls her life, including their finances, whether she can get a job or have a relationship with her sister, and that he requires her to get his permission to do anything.

David admits he’s been controlling of Denise in the past but insists their marriage is not as bad as she describes, but Denise’s sister, Sue, claims she has not seen Denise in six years due to David’s controlling ways.
