Jennifer says she has a “volatile” relationship with her 15-year-old daughter, Marie. She claims the teenager doesn’t attend school, smokes marijuana, has been hanging out with known gang members, and has run away around 20 times.

Marie claims that when she got into an argument with her older sister, Carly, Jennifer “kicked me out and left me to the streets. I had nowhere to go.”

“The daily drama was just too much,” says Jennifer, noting that she felt Marie would be better off in the care of her mother, Vicky. Marie stayed with her grandmother for seven months, but Carly says that since returning from Vicky’s home - Marie is worse than ever.

Jennifer says, “The path Marie is going down, I believe she is going to get seriously hurt or end up dead.”

Why does Marie say she’s angry with her mother?
