Alexandra, a 17-year-old from Parkland, Florida, survived the mass shooting that occurred on Valentine’s Day at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. However, the teen says five of her friends were killed when Nikolas Cruz allegedly used an AR-15 assault rifle to open fire on students and faculty.

In the video above, Alexandra shares what it was like learning that friends she has known since elementary school were killed in the horrific attack.

“I see on Twitter and the news that they’re missing, and then later, unfortunately, found dead,” she tells Dr. Phil on Thursday’s episode. “There’s no words to describe the feeling [of] never seeing your friends again.”

The teen also recalls fond memories of Coach Aaron Feis, who died during the rampage. And, hear why she says returning to the school was, “The hardest moment in my life.”
