On January 14, 2018, Louise and David Turpin were arrested at their Perris, California home after police claim they discovered that their 13 children were living in deplorable conditions. It is alleged that the Turpins starved, tortured and shackled the kids, ages 2-29, and didn’t let them use the bathroom and only allowed them one shower a year.
