Dr. Phil points out, however, that this infamy can have negative long-term consequences. “You’ve really got to talk to your kids about the difference between being infamous and being famous, because those are two different things,” he says. “You can have 15 minutes of being infamous, and it can ruin your ability to have a career later on.”
