Jorell and his father, Peter, are at odds. While Jorell says he knows his father loves him, he says he is pressing charges against him. The 34-year-old claims his father “kidnapped” him
and had him brought to his 34-acre property three hours away from where Jorell lives – and wouldn’t let him speak to his wife or children – and then had him involuntarily committed to a psychiatric ward. “The friction really started when you left the church?” Dr. Phil asks Jorell on Monday’s episode.

Peter claims he’s convinced his son was suffering from a “marijuana-induced psychosis,”
and he was trying to help his son – and that Jorell and his wife are just spinning the story.
