Nineteen-year-old Aniah Haley Blanchard, a student at Auburn University in Alabama and the stepdaughter of UFC fighter Walt Harris, disappeared on the night of October 23, 2019.

Authorities in Florida have arrested 30-year-old Ibraheem Yazeed and charged him with first-degree kidnapping in Aniah’s disappearance. Out on bond for another alleged kidnapping at the time Aniah went missing, Yazeed was identified as a person of interest after video surveillance showed him inside the same convenience store where Aniah was last seen.

“We’re trying to keep the hope that – even though we know she had an injury – that she is still alive,” says Aniah’s mother, Angela.
