When Sean was 10 years old, he says he remembers being taken to a motel with his three brothers and saying goodbye to his mother. “I told myself she would be right back. There’s no way she could be gone long, like, you know, maybe it’d be a vacation, maybe she would realize who she’s leaving behind. And I told myself that for years and years,” he says.

“There was always that glimmer of hope that she would pop back,” he continues. “She was a good mom when she was there. She was the best … I couldn’t wrap my mind around it. It was devastating.”
Sean’s mom says it’s been 25 years and she’s apologized numerous times, and it’s time her sons move on
and have a relationship with her. But Sean and his brothers say she needs to acknowledge her behavior without making excuses. Check here
