What Aaron Hernandez’s Fiancée Says Was ‘Odd’ About His Note To Her

          VIDEO

          May 15, 2017

When Aaron Hernandez was found dead in his prison cell on April 19, 2017, his fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, says she was shocked and thought it was a hoax. It is reported that Hernandez committed suicide, but Jenkins-Hernandez says she doesn’t believe he took his own life and says she wants answers from the prison.

There were three handwritten notes investigators say they found next to a Bible in Hernandez’s cell at the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Massachusetts, one addressed to Jenkins-Hernandez.

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Are you involved in a story that has made the headlines?

In an exclusive interview with Dr. Phil, Jenkins-Hernandez speaks out for the first time since her high school sweetheart’s death and shares what she thought was odd about the note he left for her.

“I did see that it was addressed to Shay instead of Babe or Bae, the way he would refer [to] me as that, was a little odd to me,” she tells Dr. Phil in the video above from Monday’s episode. “But as far as the content seemed to be his loving self.”

“How about the handwriting? Did it look like him?” Dr. Phil asks.

“The handwriting was similar but I feel like, again, you have nothing but time in there, so, I feel like it’s easily duplicated or could be,” she says.

Watch the video to see more of what was in the letter. And, what does Jenkins-Hernandez believe his words, “I told you what was coming indirectly,” mean?

Hernandez was serving a life sentence for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd. Five days prior to his death, he had been acquitted in a 2012 double murder, and was appealing his conviction in the Odin Lloyd murder. Jenkins-Hernandez says he was positive and excited to come home, and that's why she says she has doubts that he took his own life.

On Monday’s episode, Jenkins-Hernandez, mother to Hernandez’s 4-year-old daughter, answers questions about her fiancé’s mysterious jail cell death. And on Tuesday, she responds to rumors about the football star’s sexuality and his alleged intimate relationship with a fellow inmate. Check here to see where you can watch.
