DJ has been acting out since he was 5 years old, according to his mother, Victoria. She claims that now at 14, her son has grabbed her by the throat to try to “strangle” her, punched and kicked her, and pulled her hair. She says she feels like a “hostage” in her own home.
Dr. Phil asked Dr. Daniel Amen, psychiatrist, New York Times bestselling author, and founder of Amen Clinics, to look at DJ’s brain to see if some of the teen’s past experiences, including suffering from OCD and ADHD among other disorders, could be contributing to DJ’s behavior. See what he uncovers in the video above.
On Wednesday’s episode of Dr. Phil, Dr. Amen offers DJ advice for how he can get his brain working more optimally. Watch more here – and check here to see where you can tune in to Dr. Phil.
