Meredith says she’s “terrified” of her 18-year-old-sister, Emma. ”You approach her, not knowing who you’re about to be talking to; over-emotional Emma, angry Emma, violent Emma, crying, sad Emma, panic-attack Emma … You don’t know who you’re talking to,” says the 16-year-old.
“You say one thing to set her off, and she’s done-for; threatening to hit you,” she adds.

The teenagers’ parents, Bill and Jen, say their older daughter suffers from anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. They also claim that while they give her the doctor-prescribed drugs recommended to treat her illness, Emma also self-medicates with Marijuana.
Meredith too has had behavioral issues, says the couple. Claiming both the teenagers lie, take drugs, take their cars without permission – and have attacked each other and other family members physically.
