She says that now at 16, Treasure makes racist and rude comments about African-American people to their faces, leaving Monique embarrassed – and at a loss for how to change her daughter’s behavior.

, Monique reveals that shortly before Treasure started to identify as Caucasian, the family suffered the loss of Monique’s husband, a man Treasure and her brother believed was their biological father.
