Madie, 18, says she feels like her parents, Beth and Jim, regret adopting her at birth, and claims they’ve put a wedge between her and her younger sister.

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: At odds with a family member?

“My parents just shower her with love and support, and they give me nothing,” claims the teen. “They say that I am a bad person, and I am hard to love. They are corrupting how she feels about me.”

Beth and Jim claim that Madie lies, steals and is sometimes physically abusive to family members. They say they believe their daughter’s behavior is a direct result of mental illness.

Madie says she was diagnosed with ADHD and bipolar disorder at age 9 and taken to the Lawlis Peavey PsychoNeuroPlasticity (PNP) Center for evaluation at 14.

When PNP Center Co-founder, Dr. Frank Lawlis joins the discussion on Wednesday’s Dr. Phil, what does he reveal about the results of Madie’s evaluation? Tune in to Wednesday’s episode.
