Janice and Wayne’s 16-year-old daughter, Darbi, went missing from her mother, Janice’s, home in October 2016 – and not for the first time. Darbi’s aunt, Camille, says when she ran away a year earlier she wound up being sex-trafficked by an older man. Now that Darbi is gone again, Camille says her sister and former brother-in-law, Wayne, are too busy feuding to focus on finding their daughter.

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Accusations causing a rift in your relationship?

“I blame Darbi’s problems on Wayne. He’s been completely MIA in our kids’ lives,” says Janice, who currently lives in California. “Even when I lived in the same city as him, he didn’t help me parent the kids.”

Wayne, who lives in Idaho, says since their divorce, Janice keeps moving further away.

“Janice is a terrible mother,” claims Wayne. “She’s directly exposed my children to drugs, sex, and to porn – and a lesbian environment.” He says he blames Janice and her new spouse, Shannon, for Darbi’s problems.

Wayne and Janice both say their daughter has been hospitalized multiple times to treat mental illness.

When Janice brings up Darbi’s “severe” and “bizarre” sexual behavior, saying she has wondered whether Wayne might have been sexually inappropriate with her (which Wayne adamantly denies), why does Dr. Phil tell her the accusation is reckless? What does he tell Wayne about some of the texts he’s sent to Janice?
