“You have to let her know that when she does this, you’re not giving her a soft place to fall,” says Dr. Phil, alerting Chris to the pitfalls of continuing to rescue Claire from the consequences of her actions.
“You are teaching her that you’re going to get her out of accountability, and that is enabling her to continue to do this.”
“If it happens next time … I don’t have a white horse anymore,” says Chris.
