Why Dr. Phil Says Mom Fighting About Custody Is Being A 'Know-It-All Hardhead'
Amanda says for the last two years, she’s been in a heated battle with her mom over her 4-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter. She claims her mother “stole” her kids from her and says she’s been working hard to get them back, including getting a job and remaining sober.

Her mother, Lisa, says she’s had no choice but to raise her grandchildren because she claims her daughter is homeless, jobless and “unfit to be a parent.”

In the video above, Dr. Phil tells Amanda – and Lisa – what they must do for the children.
“You guys need to say, ‘We need to quit beating each other up and put these children interests at the top,’” he says. When Amanda starts to be argumentative, Dr. Phil tells her, “You can continue to be a know-it-all hardhead or you can listen to what I’m telling you. I’m trying to tell you how to get those children back.”
