When Nick discusses his impressions of the two women who claim him as their son and explains why he thinks he’s destined for jail,
Dr. Phil tells the adults, “You either need to come up with a co-parenting plan where you all set some rules, values that you adhere to – and you do it with 100% emotional integrity – or cut her out,” he says, gesturing toward Lupita. To Lupita he says, “You’ve either got to be a team member – or not.”
