April and Nate say their 16-year-old daughter, Annalisa, is out-of-control and they don’t know what to do to keep her out of trouble. They say the teen has run away more than a dozen times, comes home drunk or high, missed close to 200 days of school in the last several years, shoplifts and that they had to install locks and alarms in their home causing them to “feel like they live in a prison.”
“We fight every day,” April says. “She yells, she screams, she tells me to die.”

The parents say they also fear Annalisa is selling her body for money. “A few days ago, we opened up her notebook. It said, ‘I am a prostitute. I am an alcoholic,’” April says. “We saw messages on Annalisa’s phone making deals with men.”

“April and I have done everything we can to help Annalisa but it just seems that nothing has worked,” says Nate, who adopted Annalisa when she was 8. He says the two used to have a good relationship, but now Annalisa says she hates him. “Annalisa has accused me of child abuse and my wife and myself of neglect. She’s now saying that I am sexually abusive toward her,” a claim Nate vehemently denies.
