Woman Accuses Daughter’s Boyfriend Of Using Crowdfunding To Raise Money For What She Calls Fake Cancer Treatments

          May 10, 2017

Julianne claims her 24-year-old daughter, Mariah’s, 35-year-old boyfriend, Leighton, is a “pathological liar,” and a “con artist,” with a “silver tongue.”

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Dr. Phil, please solve our conflict!

“Leighton started a GoFundMe page saying that he has cancer. He doesn’t have cancer. He managed to raise $1,200 before I called it in and it was shut down,” she claims.

Julianne is also claiming that Leighton scammed a friend out of $70,000, made up a story about being kidnapped, is responsible for getting Mariah addicted to opiates, and has spent time in jail for beating her up.

“I believe that the violence is becoming so bad and happening more often – I’m afraid that Leighton’s going to kill her,” says Julianne. Leighton adamantly denies beating Mariah.

Julianne says she wants Mariah to see that her relationship with Leighton is destroying her life.

Why does Mariah claim that Julianne is a “liar,” “manipulative,” and “controlling”? Tune in to Friday’s Dr. Phil.
