Woman Claims Daughter Is ‘OCD,’ ‘Hypochondriac’ And Brings ‘Panic Attacks On Herself’

          January 25, 2018

“My daughter, Danielle, is OCD and a hypochondriac,” says Kelly. “She expects to get sick, so she gets sick.”

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Have family drama that needs that help?

Kelly says Danielle used to be a very social, outgoing and driven mother of three, but claims now, she’s a health-obsessed hypochondriac and a hoarder who spends her days monitoring her vitals and going to the ER. She says Danielle can’t drive, can’t work and can’t take care of her kids on her own.

“Danielle has major panic attacks one to two times a day,” Kelly says. “She starts out with just a small symptom of being dizzy. Then, it snowballs into, ‘I need to go to the ER.’ Sometimes, it’s a heart attack.”

Kelly also claims Danielle is a hoarder and buys thousands of dollars’ worth of useless “junk,” including most recently, 50 artificial Christmas trees.

“I think the chaos in her life from all of the stuff causes extra anxiety,” Kelly says. “Her manic episodes are getting out of control, and I believe that all of the medical issues are completely in her head.”

Watch more of their story in the video above. And on Friday’s episode of Dr. Phil, hear from Danielle. What does Dr. Phil say may be driving the young woman’s behavior? Check here to see where you can watch.
