Woman Claims Mother’s ‘Abusive’ Behavior Destroyed Her Potential To Do ‘Great Things’

          June 1, 2017

Ceanne claims her mother, Jemma, has been abusive to her and her sisters their whole lives.

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Is unbelievable drama dividing your family?

“My mother is crazy; she is abusive and in denial at the same time,” says 30-year-old Ceanne. “When I was 12 years old, my mom was so angry with me that she spanked me with a spoon until the spoon snapped in half, and then she finished spanking me with a spatula.”

When confronted with this allegation, Jemma says she can’t remember being abusive. Jemma says she has never abused her children. She says her daughters are lying and using her as a scapegoat for their own issues.

In the video above, Ceanne describes how she believes her mother’s behavior has had a negative impact on her life.

“I had a lot of dreams. I had a lot of potential,” Ceanne says. “My mother’s abusive behavior really did destroy any potential that I had to do great things.”

Are the girls making up or exaggerating Jemma’s behavior? Will Jemma acknowledge her daughters allegations and apologize? This episode of Dr. Phil airs Thursday. Check here to see where you can watch.
