Danielle was assaulted by a serial rapist when she was 17. Her assailant, who was originally sentenced to 60 years in prison, is now set to be released in December 2022 after serving 30 years.

Danielle says Richard Gilmore (AKA “the jogger rapist”) will be categorized as a level one threat which Danielle says is too low a classification for a violent offender who, she claims, has made threats against his victims from behind prison walls.

“He actually called one of the victims in our case and told her, ‘You girls are going to pay for this’,” says Danielle. She is requesting that the state of Oregon assign Gilmore a level three threat status before releasing him into the community.
