Woman Insists Online Boyfriend Stuck In Nigeria Is Real, And They Are In A Committed Relationship
Gail says her ideal guy is a Christian man who is caring, loving, giving and understanding – and that her online boyfriend, “Matt Hurley,” is all that. The only problem is that “Matt” is stuck in Nigeria, and they don’t have the money to buy him a plane ticket for him to return to the United States.
“My daughters don’t think he’s real and think he’s just a scammer,” Gail says about her daughters Stacey and Traci. “I just can never see him scamming anybody.”
On Monday’s episode of Dr. Phil, "'Our Mom Lived Without Heat and Water … For Online Scammers!'," Stacey and Traci claim their mom has sent hundreds of thousands of dollars to men she dates online and is now broke. See what happens when Dr. Phil and Gail try to call one of the men. And on Tuesday, "Dr. Phil Goes Global: Where is 'Matt Hurley?'" a Dr. Phil producer in Nigeria visits the hotel where “Matt Hurley” claims he is living.
