“My son has so much energy that he is on the go from the time he wakes up until the time he goes to bed,” says Megan.

Megan says that her son was diagnosed with unspecified ADHD and moderate ODD when he was 4. “I’ve seen him take a stuffed animal, whack it on things to take out his anger,” she says of the now 7-year-old. She says he’s stolen old trophies of hers and hoards junk food, so she and her boyfriend have been forced to put locks throughout their home.

Megan says that after trying everything to help her son, she turned to medication that was recommended by doctors. “I feel awful that I have to medicate my son every day, but I just don’t know what else to do at this point,” she says.
